River Resources now has that beautiful timber available in lumber. The saws are working. The lumber is being cut for a variety of uses. Here are some things to know about JUNIPER wood. This is Atlantic White Cedar - a relative to Eastern Red Cedar and the famous California Redwoods. The cell structure of this wood is "closed" so it resists water and rot.  Logs that have been in the water for years remain DRY except the very outer bark.  Because it is closed cell, by nature it is much lighter than the heavier OAK or CYPRUS wood.  So it makes superb strong and lightweight construction material - including decorative uses. River Resources is producing BAT HOUSE KITS for homeowners and communities to place around their homes and towns.  Bats are a natural enemy of mosquitoes -- and can reduce the threat of  ZICA infections by be providing lumber to Bat House fabricators. Bee Hive KITS will be available soon from River Resources as well.  These kits will get the Hobby beekeeper up and running with sturdy and rot resistant and bee mite preventing -  bee hives made of JUNIPER wood.  The Kits will contain full instructions for construction.
