Working into the SPRING with ALL SYSTEMS GO

River Resources weathered out the chilling freeze of January with mill repairs and some cold weather down-time.
Meanwhile, all systems are scheduled to be on GO by the end of January and and full slate of work is ahead.

We will be on the river at Perdido and harvesting some live cedar across the panhandle.  Much of the expected lumber is already earmarked for some key markets but there will always be opportunities for small jobs when windows are open.

Some interesting developing markets for us are the parts of the log that many would pass over. The stumps are at item for landscape markets. The tree tops with many limbs find manufacturers of rustic coat racks and "cat trees" among other things.  Taxidermists use weathered wood for display pieces. Indoor plant decorators use rustic wood for texture in office and retail settings. Even the scraps from cutting can be chipped for horse stalls.  We hope to use "everything but the blue sky between the limbs".

LIVE EDGE fireplace mantels are in demand for upscale homes.  Our stock of "river logs" is a great source for weathered - live edge cuts.  We are amazed at the beauty of timber from the magnificent Juniper wild-fall in our area.
