THE CROSS PROJECT IS A MESSAGE

Many churches received gifts of crosses from this project and now it is finding its way into other ministries as well.   Several music groups find they can bring extra message impact by including the crosses in their message.   Here are the Gospel Plowboys.

Hello Mr Henderson, my name is Michael Jenkins. I play lead guitar and sing lead for The Gospel Plowboys. Thank you so much for contacting us!! I’m thrilled to hear that you enjoy our music so much. I really appreciate your offer to send us a cross and we gladly accept. I looked at your website and you have done some beautiful work!! I also took notice to Mr Frank your WWII Veteran. Please let him know we are very grateful for his service!! Do you have all of our CDs? I’d like to send them to y’all.

It is a honor sir to hear from you! I am in my sixties and have heard a lot of gospel music but you fellas come across as genuine as they come. In 1980 and 81 my father and mother died. They both had large funerals that local groups sang at. The only song that I can remember was When he reached down for me.       Since then I have never heard it done right till the other day, when I heard you guys do it.

When it comes around to people being persecuted for JESUS I want them to know I want to be first in line! I have never asked for a nickel for them. The big ones are hollow and easy to move around. They are made of red cedar with 2 coats of polyurethane.

Stay safe, this world needs ya'll too bad!

THE CROSSES PROJECT

  • Frank Neibert is a WWII Veteran. Riverloggers.com  supplies him with cedar and crosses are formed in memory of his wife and in celebration of their faith.  The red cedar is selected from cuttings made by Riverloggers and cut to length.  Frank finishes the crosses. The photos shown here now are not yet sealed and waxed.   Still, the beauty of the cross is evident.

Red Cedar

A source of red cedar is now making it's way into lumber.  Fresh cut, the red is almost lavender but dries quickly to a beautiful red/brown that people like.

Cedars on the lot

About five of these loads of Cedars are arriving on the lot. Most of the expected lumber is already committed.  More river logjam juniper is expected in a week. The sawmill will be humming.
